One sheet for the whole group
Bachelorette weekend: the order is almost always one "Bride" plus a crew. Put both designs on a single gang sheet — "Bride" once, "Bride's Crew" (or "Maid of Honor", "Mother of the Bride") as many times as you need — and press each onto the tank or tee of the wearer's choice. Because you are paying for sheet space, not per design, the eleventh crew shirt costs the same as the second. Everyone gets the right size, and nobody is stuck with a spare medium.
Family reunion: the same family crest usually needs to fit toddlers, kids and grandparents. Place it on one sheet at three widths — about 11 inches for adults, 9 inches for youth and 6 inches for toddlers or pocket prints — and order the mix your headcount needs. Thirty shirts in four sizes can come off one sheet and one press session the week before the picnic.
- Mixed garments, one designTees, tanks, crewnecks and totes all take the same transfer — only the press setting changes.
- Last-minute additionsA cousin RSVPs late? Order a single transfer by size. No minimum, no re-setup.
- Keep it simpleNot sure which sizes fit your group? Our size & placement guide has the starting points.

Group shirts FAQ
What are Bear DTF transfers?
DTF (direct-to-film) transfers are your designs printed onto a film with a white underbase and a heat-activated adhesive. You press the film onto a garment, peel it away, and the print stays. No screens, no vinyl weeding, no color limits — and no minimum order.
Do I need a heat press?
A heat press gives the most consistent results: 290–320°F, 8–15 seconds, medium pressure, hot peel. For small designs an EasyPress works well. A household iron can work on small pieces if you use a hard, flat surface, full body weight and the full time — but results vary more than with a press. Settings by fabric are in our press guide.
Which fabrics and colors can I press on?
Cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends, fleece, canvas, denim and more — light or dark, because every transfer is printed with a white underbase. Polyester and spandex use a lower temperature; the press guide lists each setting. See the best fabrics for DTF.
Are the transfers safe for kids' clothing?
Our films and inks are documented on the Materials & Certifications page, and the finished print is soft and flexible rather than a thick plastic layer. As with any printed garment, wash before first wear.
I've never done this before — is it hard?
No. Pre-press the garment for a few seconds, lay the transfer print-side up, press, peel the film while it's hot, and you're done. Most first-timers get it right on the first shirt. If you'd like to practice first, the sample pack is the cheapest way to try it.
What if part of the design doesn't stick?
Lay the film back down (or a cover sheet over the print) and press again for 5–10 seconds with firm pressure. Make sure you are at the hotter end of the range for cotton (310–320°F) and that the platen is pressing evenly — thick seams can hold it up. If a transfer arrives defective, our guarantee covers a free reprint.
Can I wash it like a normal shirt?
Yes. Turn the garment inside out, wash cold or warm, tumble dry low or hang dry, and skip bleach and dry cleaning. Our transfers are rated for 100+ washes — the method is explained on the wash durability page.
How does shipping work?
Transfer orders ship UPS with tracking: flat $19.90, free on transfer orders $99+, with 1–3 business days in transit. Blank apparel ships separately from our apparel warehouse, and its shipping is calculated at checkout. Full details are in the Shipping Policy.
How many shirts can one gang sheet cover?
It depends on the size of your design. A 22-inch-wide sheet fits two adult-size prints side by side, and far more pocket-size or youth prints. The builder shows the sheet filling up as you add designs, so you see the count before you pay. How many designs fit on a 10 ft sheet →
Can I press the transfers with a household iron at home?
For small designs, yes — use a hard, flat surface (not a padded ironing board), the cotton setting, firm body weight and the full time, then peel hot. A heat press or EasyPress gives more even pressure and is the better choice for full-front prints. Settings are in the press guide.
