What Is UV DTF? The Complete Guide to UV DTF Stickers
UV DTF (ultraviolet direct–to–film) is a peel–and–stick transfer for hard surfaces — mugs, tumblers, glass, metal, plastic, wood, and more. Unlike regular DTF, there is no heat press and no fabric involved. If you can stick a label, you can apply UV DTF.
How UV DTF works
- The design is printed and cured with UV light onto a film, with an adhesive layer and a clear transfer film on top.
- You peel the backing, position it on a clean hard surface, and press it down by hand.
- Rub firmly, then remove the top transfer film — the design stays bonded to the item.

What surfaces does UV DTF stick to?
Glass, stainless steel, ceramic, acrylic, hard plastic, wood, leather, and most smooth, rigid materials. It does not work on fabric or soft, flexible items. For best adhesion, the surface should be clean, dry, and free of oils.
